About Macaque Database

The macaque Capture and Exome Database (mCED) provides access to genotype data of rhesus macaques collected from eight primate research centers. It currently includes exome sequencing data from 615 rhesus macaques, capture sequencing data targeting exonic regions of 374 genes related to inherited retinal diseases and neural developmental diseases in 1,408 rhesus macaques, and sequencing data from 446 rhesus macaques obtained through both exome sequencing and capture sequencing. All DNA variants and genotype data have been processed, curated, and extensively annotated with standardized pipelines. These data can either be viewed through our genome browser or downloaded for external use.

Investigators and groups that have contributed data to the current release are listed below.

All the data presented here are publicly accessible for the benefit of the broader research community. The paper for the sequencing data is currently published online "Genetic diversity of 1,845 rhesus macaques improves genetic variation interpretation and identifies disease models".
